Hello and thank you for being here! My name is Alex and it’s been around 25 years since I wrote my first computer program on a Z80-based “HC 2000”. I have gained a lot of experience but I do not consider myself a “master”. The path to mastering any craft is a never-ending journey. It takes humbleness, perseverance, and the ability to always question and change one’s beliefs in order to learn and grow.

This blog is my attempt to distill my understanding and knowledge in a written form in order to help out others starting on the path and, in general, to share my insights with colleagues in my field outside of my immediate vicinity. This blog will also, as the title might indicate, explore links between code and art, including, among others, art that is created by code and code as an art form.

Our journey starts in the Dojo. Dojo is a Japanese word meaning “the way of the path.” Our dojo is a place of learning the basics, defining ways of learning and exploration, organizing data, manipulating data, all in the theoretical realm. While you may be new to programming, I am new to sharing knowledge at this scale. I will appreciate any feedback you provide, as it can only help us to improve our understanding and the content of this blog.

All that being said, see you in the dojo! (Click the Dojo image to enter)
